Anne Magnussen (PhD) is Associate Professor at the Institute of History and Civilization, University of Southern Denmark, Denmark. Comics constitute an important part of Anne Magnussen’s work, from her PhD thesis on Spanish comics to her latest articles about memory, dictatorship and political conflict in Spanish and Argentine comics. Her theoretical focus is on semiotics, narratives, uses of history/memory and national/ethnic identities, with a specific focus on time and space.
